Imagine if you were told your whole life, based solely on your height and weight, what size and kind of clothes you had to wear. If the calculations determine that you're a size ten, then you're a size ten, and you have to wear ONLY this size of clothing - regardless of how ill-fitting - until your body changes to accommodate this size.
I really have been thinking about persona's that people - friends, acquaintances, celebrities, strangers - create and present to the world, and how much we compare our own lives to theirs. How much dissatisfaction and anxiety is created from these comparisons, that might all be based on a fake reality?
I wrote this exactly a year ago and I got a lot of comments that people really related to it. I thought it warranted a re-post. This year has been filled with it's share of ups and downs, craziness and chaos, and it's good to be reminded of what really matters and is most important to you. Happy Holidays! Enjoy!
